Be a SAMURAI through Japanese Swordsmanship "Iaido"

Professional Sword Maser teaches and trains you to be a samurai!

Skilled master will give you interesting and hands-on sword experience. No prior experience is required, anyone can join this workshop at the Dojo in the center of Tokyo.

Families and friends are all welcome.

Let’s learn and feel Japanese samurai spirits and their traditions. You can touch real armor and swords, and even try cutting a tatami stick used for authentic training(see the far-left pic).

Master is collecting real armor and a sword. these are museum collection value items.

<Itinerary: Duration 1.5~2 hours>

Workshop details:

1) Change into your street clothes

2) Learn about the sword and put on the sword and Wakizashi.

3) Have your picture taken

4) Learn how to walk in the Samurai way

5) Learn the basics of how to draw, hold, and sheathe a sword.

6) Learn the spirit and posture of a samurai

7) Learn about Iai (close-range, face-to-face fighting) and swordsmanship (kata)

8) One by one, under the guidance of the instructor, cut a tatami stick with a kesa zari with a serious weapon.

9) Ceremony to award certificates

10) Dismissal after taking pictures

*The interpreter will give you a video and photos of the experience.
